The interviewer should be sincere qualified and a better person than you knowledge wise
But in India mostly interviews are an elimination process and not a selection process
Real HR Professionals will try to bring out the best from every candidate and then evolve strategies to fit the person in the organisation suitably
As our learned friends have commented above interviewing requires skill and ability to judge
But most interviewers happen to be unfit for this job
But they had to do the job
And they do it as shabbily as possible
Where required we have to enrol the support outside experts and outsourcing at times is required to select the best people
