Thought for consideration:
Facts: India is a nation where anybody and everybody is given a warm welcome, as we Indians are known for our hospitality towards all people and all religions.
Known history: During different regimes in the past Aryans, Mangols, Muslims, English, French, Portugals etc, marched into this Country and invading it ruled it for years.
People got converted to various religions due to different reasons.
Logical Conclusion: Different religions started their own places of worship with various Gods to engage people in their religious activities over the years.
The Truth: Thus most of the present days Holy Shrines of different religions are built on another religious place of worship only.
History proves that whenever the rulers change, many original religious places of the previous ruler were demolished and new Holy Shrines were built in those places conforming to the religions of the new ruler. The same act was continued with the change in the rulers every time over the years.

Human Resource Management & Organisation Development
Promotions - Impact on the individuals & the Organisation
It all depends on the individual
And it defers from individual to individual
I have seen people who move up the ladder changing their colours to suit their selfish ends and held no firm principles to conduct their day to day activity within & outside the organisations
And there is another minority who always behave in the same way whether they were in a lower cadre and maintained a uniform approach to their principles and beliefs even when they moved from one cadre to another
The uniformity in their thinking and actions is possible only because they had the calibre to reach and remain in high posts even while they joined the lower cadre
They had to join as a labour due to various factors as opportunity constraint, etc
But once they reached the top of Management they held the same views which originally they had long time ago when they started their career
There are still few who when joining a labor job may not have qualities of mature thinking which is a necessity for a person in the top management
But as they rose in the organisation from one stage to another developed the qualities of a good and efficient Manager
Thus there are three major categories
1. There are few people who whether they are in the labor or Managerial posts always think high and have qualities befitting that of a top Management Person
They are the salt of any organisation. They have to be identified and encouraged to go up the ladder
2. There are many people who change their qualities when there is a change in the post they hold and here we have 2 subdivisions
a) Those who change for the better learning & improving themselves with promotions
b) Those who change only their colours & act in selfish ways to reap benefit only for themselves and neglect organisational welfare
3. The third category people are those who by some fortune get promotions but never improve themselves and are a drag to the organisation

360 Degrees Performance Review
A 360 degrees performance review is an effective way of assessing a person's capabilities fully and completely
Collect opinions & reports about the individual from
1.Superiors
2.Colleagues
3.Subordinates
4.Other staff who happen to work with him even occassionally
5.If exposed to outsiders collect feedfack from all categories
6.The decision maker himself/herself can have one or two interaction with the person directly if needed
7.Collect a self appraisal from the individual himself/herself
Have a judicious study indepth of all these information to judge the person correctly before important decisions are taken

Violence in Work Premises
Most of the times violence is the product of unwanted & unnecessary provocation, frustration, anger against injustice etc.,
In few cases a person may be disturbed mentally and resort to violence
When a person is violent due to mental imbalance then one can anticipate it and take necessary precaution and care to avoid getting shot at or attacked with any lethal weapons by the individual
But in other cases if sufficient opportunities are allowed for the employee to change oneself and in the end after following a well programmed procedure to take action of suspension or dismissal in the event of a justified decision mostly people do not react to the extant of becoming violent instantaneously
Soul search is more necessary in such cases whether the Management has got a clean slate
Think it over

Reminiscences
Every day brings new inputs and new enjoyments
Every friend adds new dimensions in life to turn life joyful
In the wilderness alone on a byke I used to travel miles enjoying solitude and Nature was with me bestowing Her Beauty & Peace - making my heart to sing and fly leaping into the sky - Oh - those days still make me happy
Lots of happy memories fill old age with joy and happiness
Happy recollections - are fruits of hard and sincere work in the younger days
That is the reward the Creator has bestowed on me for which I am grateful to HIM

Overflow of Thoughts
being away, blessed anyway, behold I realised
being blessed by our Malik, HE held & raised
being a layman, in search of Truth to be blessed
being a part of Satsang - I prayed & praised

Money
Money
Yes I need Money
I love to earn Money and Spend it for my enjoyment
How much Money do I need ?
The Success Story
Limit one's wants to the maximum minimum level
Then one's need for money is limited
Then one need to work only to that extent
Then the extra amount one earns is a surplus
Then One should stop pursuing Money and after ensuring a steady income live to enjoy life with his/her MONEY
But in life people do not have real enjoyment and have no time for real living but under an illusion madly go after money and waste their life in safeguarding it
The more money one has the more worried he/she is and waste their time and energy in protecting it
Religions say that a rich man can never realise God until and unless one severs his/her greed for Money
Many have not seen all their wealth physically or enjoyed all the wealth but only have the satisfaction of thinking that they have that much of money
If mere thinking of the wealth one could not fully see and feel can make him/her happy then anybody can also imagine that he/she has a lot of wealth and remain happy
How is it ?

Revelation
Everything is perfect in God's Creations
Accept things as they are
But it requires a lot of maturity and improved mental make up to accept such a situation and think like this
But in my age I think that it is OK to understand and accept this philosophy
My father used to tell that once you start having grey hair ie actually turning into white hair from black that shows that you should stop waging war with the world and begin to become peaceful with it using the white flag - your white hair
The Tamil saying goes like this
Avanandri Anuvum Asaiyathu
That is nothing will happen without HIS Permission
Bhagavad Gita also tells that
Whatever that has happened has happened only in the right way
Whatever that is happening is also happening only in the right way
OK let me practice all these well founded truths at least from now onwards
All the Best
